Why K9 SecurityWith most companies and sites now opting for CCTV - why the need for additional security or that of a dog unit?
CCTV doesn’t seem to be a deterrent anymore, the most cunning of thieves can disarm it - others just cover up their faces and cover their identity - and whilst an alarm may be activated - CCTV doesn’t actually stop anyone from entering your premises. Nor does it act to detain such people. A manned security site also has its limitations. A trained Security dog however, can identify a sound's location much faster than a human can, as well as hear sounds up to four times the distance that humans are able to. A dogs sense of smell is about 50 to 100 times more powerful than a human's. Without doubt they offer the most effective deterrent against intruders, vandals and persons wanting to steal. Such intruders will think twice knowing they have the chance of coming up against our trained Security patrol dogs. Security dogs are psychologically demoralizing to criminals, our dogs are trained to show controlled aggression against anyone who confronts their handler. Where can we use a Dog Unit? Dog units can be used anywhere and areas of use include - but are not limited to: To protect, large open areas such as fields for festivals
All patrol dogs are trained to pick up and indicate to its handler the presence of a person in its patrol area. They are also trained to accept other people in their environment and to only react if a threat is made against the handler. The handler and dog team presents a formidable emotional deterrent. The intruder knows he cannot hide from the dog, he doesn’t want to fight the dog, ..... the dog doesn’t bluff. Our Security dogs can work the toughest jobs and give the handler absolute personal security. |
