Frequent Asked Questions

  1. Why choose family protection dogs from K9 Security Ireland?
Our family protection dogs are carefully trained to be both loving pets and effective protectors. They undergo extensive obedience training and learn to respond to protection commands on cue. Unlike guard dogs, our protection dogs have a stable temperament and become loyal family members who can distinguish when protection is needed.

  2. How does a protection dog know when to bite?
Our protection dogs are trained to respond to specific commands and situations. They are not aggressive by nature but are taught to react decisively when a threat is identified. For more details, watch our video here.

  3. How can I buy a family protection dog from K9 Security Ireland?
To acquire a family protection dog, follow these steps:

    1. Contact us via call or email to discuss your needs, lifestyle, and family situation.
    2. Schedule a viewing day to meet the dog and assess their personality and training.
    3. Arrange a delivery date, which includes a 1-2 day 1-on-1 session for you to learn everything about your new dog.
    4. After the dog settles in, we continue to provide support and updates.
  4. Is there anything I need to do after buying a family protection dog?
Your new dog will arrive groomed, with up-to-date vet checks, vaccines, leads, collars, and all necessary paperwork. Ensure to follow any additional instructions provided for a smooth transition.

  5. What is the difference between a guard dog and a protection dog?
Guard dogs protect property or specific areas, similar to security guards. Protection dogs, however, are personal bodyguards that integrate into your family, offering high levels of loyalty and protection tailored to personal safety.
